If you're working in public health, traffic safety, substance use prevention or any professional position where you need to influence people, there's a good chance you’ve faced a tough challenge: how to communicate critical messages effectively, especially when your background isn’t in sales, marketing, or communication. You’re not alone—many people in these fields feel like they’re thrown into their role without the toolkit needed to make an impact. You’re expected to change behaviors—like reducing DUIs, encouraging seat belt use, preventing smoking, or getting staff to adopt a certain new policy or procedure—but it’s tough to do that with messaging that’s stuck in the old “do as I say” model. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to psychological reactance, meaning the more you tell people what to do, the less likely they are to listen.
This is where Enhanced XP comes in.
I didn’t set out to create a business about teaching AI. In fact, I didn’t set out to do many of the things I’ve done in my life, but I've always set myself up to take advantage of opportunities when they come knocking. It’s been one wild ride—like living in a multi-verse RPG where every decision I make unlocks a new level of experience points (XP). From my time as a radio DJ in high school to becoming a police officer, Verbal Judo Instructor, and even a Major League professional mascot, I’ve gathered experiences that have shaped how I approach challenges and communication.
But what really got me thinking about how AI could change the game was seeing how people struggle to make impactful public health messaging. When I first started in this space, most marketing was all about what people should do (Click it or Ticket, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, You Text, You Drive, You Pay, Stop Smoking or you will die, etc.), but not enough focus on how to say it in a way that resonates. As a former Verbal Judo instructor (Verbal Judo is a tactical communications course geared toward law enforcement) I always focused on the "it's not what you say, it's how you sat it" part of communications. It's long been clear that "Telling" people what they should or shouldn't do, doesn't work. Nobody likes to be told what to do. So, how can I teach this concept to others in public health? Then everything seemed to change overnight. Enter Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI has studied what we haven't and it can help us get to where we are going and do what we could never do before. Most people don't have the time or ability to truly study communication, sales & marketing, and influence techniques. Now with a simple prompt we can all generate content like it was written by worldwide experts on just about any subject possible.
Here’s the thing about AI—while it may sound intimidating at first and it's totally natural to feel some heartburn around being authentic. For example, when I used AI to write a Mother’s Day poem for my wife (I know, I’m a romantic!), my daughter rolled her eyes and asked, “Did you write that, or did ChatGPT write that?” I didn’t even have to answer—she knew.
But then I asked her about the Mother’s Day card she just put on the table: “Did you write that, or did Hallmark write that?”

Guess what? We’ve all been using others to express our feelings for years. Big-name authors and famous use ghostwriters. Companies hire marketing firms to develop everything from logos to entire social media campaigns. And now, AI puts that same power into your hands without having to pay someone else. You don’t need a massive budget or a professional marketing firm to create messaging that actually works.
With Enhanced XP, I’m on a mission to help people like you harness the power of AI to amplify your communication skills and make a real impact in your community. Whether you’re working to prevent DUIs, raise awareness about substance abuse, or promote healthier behaviors, AI can help you craft messages that people actually want to hear—without the pushback.
The Power of AI: What’s In It For You?
It’s simple: AI is about empowerment. It allows you to control your message and create more effective campaigns without needing to break the bank. In today’s world, everyone—from small non-profits to large organizations—have limited resources. But with AI, you can save time, energy, and money while still producing high-quality, engaging content that reaches your audience in ways you never thought possible and at speeds that have never been possible.
So, whether you’re trying to get people to wear seat belts, quit smoking, or just make better choices, AI can help you get the message across in a way that resonates with them on a deeper level. It’s all about pairing your expertise and human intelligence with the power of AI to create campaigns that truly make a difference.
A Final Word

With Enhanced XP, I want to give you the tools and the confidence to take control of your message, learn how to pair your unique expertise with AI, and make real progress in your mission. The goal is to make it easy for you to create change, even when you don’t have a huge budget or a massive team behind you.
Let’s unlock those experience points together—because with the right tools, you can achieve greatness in ways you never imagined.
